I cooked this for dinner today! Here’s my special recipe for:
Steamed Cream Dory Fish
Ingredients:
1 big sliver of cream dory fish (they can be bought in packs)
Maggi Liquid seasoning (classic)
3 tsp Sauteed Garlic (minced)
3 tbsp Sesame oil
calamansi juice (from 5 to 7 pcs of calamansi)
black pepper
Spring onions (sibuyas dahon) for garnish
It’s really easy. Just have your steamer ready. Place an aluminum foil over the part of the steamer where there are holes for the steam to get in. It saves all the sauce and it’s aluminum so it conducts heat. Make sure the fish is completely thawed. Place it over the foil. Pour in the calamansi juice. Make sure there are no seeds included. Add in half of the liquid seasoning, sesame oil, garlic and pepper. Leave that to cook for a few minutes. Then, turn the fish over carefully so the other side can be cooked. Add the other half of the liquid seasoning, sesame oil, garlic and pepper. When it’s done, sprinkle sliced spring onions on top to garnish. Make sure you pour all the sauce over the fish before you garnish. The sauce is really good.
That was a piece of cake! You can never go wrong with steamed dory fish. It doesn’t overcook too. Have a delish dinner. =)
